Can I use the pH Test strips to check the pH of food that stains?

Unfortunately no, you will need to use a pH monitor for these items. You could check the pH of a tomato for example before it is pureed by squeezing a small amount of the juice out which is clear onto the pH paper. Things like beetroot however, cannot be tested with the pH  paper.
